Description

The IC-M94DE brings the safety features of a fixed VHF set to a handheld, and is the world's first marine VHF handportable with a built-in AIS receiver alongside DSC and an integrated GPS. The AIS receiver displays the traffic information broadcast by other AIS-equipped vessels on the radio's large, clear screen, and an AIS target call function lets you quickly set up a DSC individual call, while distress calls can be sent at any time from the rear-panel button.

A 6 watt transmit output provides extended range, and the supplied high-capacity BP-306 lithium-ion battery gives around 10 hours of operation. Icom's custom speaker delivers a class-leading 1500mW audio output for outstanding clarity in noisy maritime conditions, supported by active noise cancelling technology. A simplified Navigation function guides you to any of up to 50 stored waypoints, and Float'n Flash construction means the radio floats and flashes its display, keys and distress button if dropped overboard, automatically transmitting an MOB distress signal when the button is pressed. Built to IPX7, it also offers Dual and Tri-Watch, four-digit channel support and AquaQuake draining.
