Icom MA-510TR Class B AIS Transponder

The Icom MA-510TR is a Class B AIS transponder that combines a transponder and a sharp wide-angle colour display in one compact, standalone unit. It can be installed near the chart table, in the wheelhouse, on the fly bridge or on a cockpit pedestal, making it an invaluable safety addition to small vessels, workboats and pleasure craft. While transmitting your own vessel's static and dynamic information, it automatically receives Class A and Class B AIS reports from other vessels and base stations, often revealing traffic that radar cannot see.

The 4.3 inch wide viewing angle colour TFT display shows your position and other vessels clearly, with dangerous targets in red and registered friends in yellow, and remains readable in direct sunlight. Target, danger and friend lists with CPA and TCPA data, a simplified navigation function for up to 100 waypoints, man overboard navigation and a collision alarm support safe passage making. A silent mode disables transmission for privacy, individual DSC calling works with compatible Icom VHF radios, and NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183/-HS and USB connectivity plus a supplied SBAS GPS antenna make integration straightforward. The unit is IPX7 waterproof and works from 12 V or 24 V supplies.
