J2K100-01
The Maretron J2K100 J1939 to NMEA 2000 Gateway attaches directly to the J1939 network of a compatible engine, transmission or genset and converts its data to NMEA 2000. Critical engine information is then distributed over a single cable to any compatible display. The gateway only listens to the J1939 bus, so it will not interfere with engine control.

Description

The Maretron J2K100 J1939 to NMEA 2000 Gateway connects directly into the J1939 network of compatible engines, transmissions and gensets and translates that data to the NMEA 2000 marine interface. Critical engine, transmission and genset information such as tachometer, oil pressure, coolant temperature, boost pressure, fuel rate, engine hours and load is then distributed throughout the vessel over a single cable, where it can be shown on any NMEA 2000 compatible display.

The gateway only listens to the J1939 network and draws no power from it, taking its power instead from the NMEA 2000 interface. Because it never transmits onto the J1939 bus it will not interfere with existing engine control or status data in any way. It is compatible with engines, transmissions and gensets from manufacturers including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Kohler, Northern Lights, Onan, Perkins, Steyr, Volvo Penta and Yanmar.

Paired with Maretron displays or N2KView and a GPS200 antenna, the J2K100 can also form part of a complete fuel computer that shows fuel rate, economy and range.

Will the J2K100 interfere with my engine electronics?
No. The gateway only listens to the J1939 network and never transmits onto it, so it cannot affect engine control or existing status data. It also draws its power from the NMEA 2000 side, not the engine bus.
Which engines is the J2K100 compatible with?
Any engine, transmission or genset with a J1939 interface, including products from Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Kohler, Northern Lights, Onan, Perkins, Steyr, Volvo Penta and Yanmar.
What data does the J2K100 provide?
It translates parameters such as engine speed, oil pressure and temperature, coolant temperature and pressure, boost pressure, fuel rate, engine hours, percent load and torque, plus transmission gear, pressure and temperature, and AC generator quantities.
