Description
The 1720 is a 1.1 m (3 ft) stainless steel masthead whip VHF antenna, supplied with a mounting bracket for fitting at the top of a sailing yacht mast. Mounting the antenna as high as possible gives the greatest line-of-sight range, which is why a masthead whip is the standard choice for cruising and racing yachts. It connects to Simrad, Lowrance and B&G fixed-mount VHF radios and is designed to be used with the matching 30 m (98 ft) mast cable, sold separately.
