The Lowrance Hook-3x DownScan was a compact 3.5-inch fishfinder bundled with a 455/800 kHz DownScan Skimmer transom-mount transducer. It combined traditional Broadband Sounder with photo-like DownScan Imaging for clearer views of structure and cover. This model has been discontinued.
Description
The Lowrance Hook-3x DownScan variant paired the compact 3.5-inch fishfinder with a 455/800 kHz DownScan Skimmer transducer, adding photo-like imaging of bottom structure and submerged cover alongside conventional sonar. Keypad operation, adjustable sensitivity and depth alarms made it a straightforward fish-finding aid for small boats.
As a fishfinder-only unit it focused on sonar clarity rather than navigation. The Hook-3x has since been discontinued and is succeeded within the current Lowrance range by the Hook Reveal series, which adds GPS plotting and Autotuning sonar.
