The Lowrance Hook-4x DownScan was a 4.3-inch dedicated fishfinder supplied with a Mid/High DownScan Skimmer transom-mount transducer. It combined CHIRP Broadband Sounder with DownScan Imaging for clearer structure detail. This model has been discontinued.
Description
The Lowrance Hook-4x DownScan variant paired the 4.3-inch fishfinder with a Mid/High DownScan Skimmer transducer, blending CHIRP Broadband Sounder with photo-like DownScan Imaging of structure and cover. Keypad operation, fish ID and depth alarms made it a straightforward sonar tool for smaller boats.
As a fishfinder-only unit it focused on sonar clarity rather than navigation. The Hook-4x has since been discontinued and is succeeded within the current Lowrance range by the Hook Reveal series, which adds GPS plotting and Autotuning sonar.
