The Lowrance Hook-7x was a 7-inch dedicated fishfinder supplied with a Mid/High DownScan Skimmer transducer. It combined CHIRP Broadband Sounder with DownScan Imaging on a large display, without GPS charting. This model has been discontinued.
Description
The Lowrance Hook-7x was a fishfinder-only unit built around a large 7-inch colour display and keypad operation, supplied with a Mid/High DownScan Skimmer transducer. CHIRP Broadband Sounder combined with photo-like DownScan Imaging gave detailed views of fish, bait and structure across a generous screen, with fish ID and depth alarms in a rugged, waterproof case.
As a non-GPS unit the Hook-7x concentrated on sonar clarity rather than navigation. It has since been discontinued and is succeeded within the current Lowrance range by the Hook Reveal-7, which adds GPS plotting and Autotuning sonar.
