Description

The Victron Lynx Distributor is the fused distribution module of the modular Lynx Distribution system. It carries a positive and a negative tinned-copper busbar, with four fuse-protected positive connections, four negative connections and a ground connection, all behind a removable front cover.

Each of the four circuits takes a MEGA fuse (purchased separately) and is individually monitored. A power LED and four fuse-status LEDs give an at-a-glance health check, and when connected to a Lynx Smart BMS the fuse status of up to four Distributors is reported through the VictronConnect app, a GX device and the VRM portal. A 40 cm RJ10 cable is included to power the monitoring circuit and carry fuse data from a Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS.

Rated for 1000 A continuous at 12, 24 or 48 V, the Lynx Distributor bolts directly to other Lynx modules to build a complete DC busbar with integrated fusing. Its ABS enclosure offers IP22 protection. The M10 version uses M10 busbar joints, while the fuse and cable connections are M8.

Are the MEGA fuses included?
No. The Lynx Distributor is designed to hold MEGA fuses, which are purchased separately so you can match the rating to each circuit. Use 36 V rated MEGA fuses for 12 V and 24 V systems and 58 V rated MEGA fuses for 48 V systems.
How does the fuse monitoring work?
Each of the four fuses is monitored. If a fuse blows, its red LED lights, the power LED turns red and, when connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, an alarm is reported through the VictronConnect app, a GX device and the VRM portal.
Does the fuse monitoring work with a Lynx Shunt VE.Can?
The RJ10 cable from a Lynx Shunt VE.Can powers the LEDs, but remote fuse-status reporting to an app or GX device is only available when the Distributor is connected to a Lynx Smart BMS. Up to four Distributors can be monitored this way.
Can the Lynx Distributor be used on its own?
Yes. It can be used as a fused busbar without a Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS, but the LEDs and fuse monitoring will not operate unless the monitoring circuit is powered. Place a fuse or dummy fuse in every unused circuit to keep the warning LED off.
What is included in the box?
The Lynx Distributor ships with a 40 cm RJ10 cable that powers the monitoring circuit and carries fuse data to a Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS. MEGA fuses are not included.
