Description

The Victron Lynx Power In is a passive busbar module at the heart of the modular Lynx Distribution system. It provides a positive and a negative tinned-copper busbar with four heavy-duty connections for batteries, loads or chargers, plus a dedicated ground connection, all behind a removable front cover.

Rated for 1000 A continuous at 12, 24 or 48 V, the Lynx Power In lets you parallel several batteries or feed large inverter/charger loads through a single, tidy connection point. It contains no fuses or electronics, so every connected circuit must be fused externally. Multiple Lynx Power In modules can be bolted together to extend the busbar and add more connections.

With its ABS enclosure, IP22 protection and wide operating temperature range, it is well suited to demanding marine and off-grid DC installations. M10 refers to the busbar joints between modules; the cable connections themselves are M8.

Does the Lynx Power In contain fuses?
No. The Lynx Power In is a passive busbar with no internal fuses. Every battery, load or charger connected to it must be protected by an external fuse rated for the maximum current and voltage in that circuit.
What current can the Lynx Power In handle?
It is rated for 1000 A continuous at 12, 24 or 48 V. The total of the fuses on all connected circuits should not exceed the current rating of the lowest-rated Lynx module in the system.
Can I join several Lynx modules together?
Yes. The Lynx Power In bolts directly to other Lynx modules on the left and right to form a continuous busbar. Note that M10 modules cannot connect directly to M8 modules, so keep the busbar size consistent.
What is the difference between the M8 and M10 versions?
M8 and M10 refer to the busbar joint size where modules connect to each other. The cable and lug connections are always M8. This M10 version (LYN020102010) uses M10 busbar joints.
Does the Lynx Power In need any communication or power connection?
No. It is fully passive with no electronics, so it requires no power supply or data cable. Battery monitoring and fuse monitoring are provided by other Lynx modules such as the Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS.
