Description
The Maretron M65-0085 is a protective Mini cap designed to cover an unused female Mini connector on an NMEA 2000 network. Left open, a spare connector on a tee or cordset can admit moisture, salt and dirt, which over time degrades the contacts and can affect network reliability.
Threading a cap over the exposed connector seals it against the elements and keeps the contacts clean until the port is needed. It is an inexpensive item well worth fitting to every unused Mini female connector on the backbone.
