Description

The Mac Plus 24/12-50 + CZone is a non-isolated DC-DC charger that converts a 24 V supply to charge a 12 V service battery at up to 50 A (750 W). Using the proven Mastervolt 3-step+ charge algorithm it delivers a quick, safe and consistent charge even to completely flat batteries, while engine-run detection ensures the starter battery is never drained. It also works seamlessly with Euro 5/6 smart alternators, supplying constant power even when the alternator is inactive.

A power-efficient, fanless aluminium housing keeps the unit silent and well protected against dust and water. It supports flooded, Gel, AGM and Lithium Ion (incl. LiFePO4) batteries, and up to ten units can be paralleled for charging capacities well over 100 A. A power supply mode provides stable output for sensitive loads.

Compatibility with CZone, NMEA 2000 and MasterBus gives superior monitoring and control, with configuration via MasterAdjust, the CZone tool or the on-board DIP switches.

What is the difference between this and a standard charge relay?
Unlike a relay, the Mac Plus actively converts and regulates the voltage, compensating for cable voltage drop so the 12 V service battery receives a full, controlled 3-step+ charge.
Is it suitable for Euro 5/6 smart alternators?
Yes. Its adjustable current limits and constant-power operation make it ideal for vehicles and vessels with smart Euro 5/6 alternators that would otherwise undercharge the service battery.
Does it include a temperature sensor?
Yes, a battery temperature sensor is included for temperature-compensated charging. Longer 6 m and 15 m sensors are available separately.
Which battery types can it charge?
Flooded, Gel, AGM, spiral, Lithium Ion, traction and user-defined batteries.
What is the + CZone version?
It adds native CZone and NMEA 2000 connectivity alongside MasterBus, so the charger can be monitored and configured directly from a CZone digital switching system.
