Description

The Mastervolt MLI Ultra 12/3000 is a heavy-duty Lithium Ion battery engineered for ultimate performance under the harshest conditions, including high charge and discharge currents, wet environments, mechanical shock and vibration. It pairs premium Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells with a proprietary Mastervolt Battery Management System inside a sturdy, waterproof housing. Offering 230Ah of capacity and 3000Wh of energy, it delivers more than three times the lifespan of traditional batteries while saving up to 70 per cent in space and weight.

A self-learning balancing algorithm proactively balances each cell for faster, more efficient charging and an even longer service life, with fast charging possible within 60 minutes. Integrated battery monitoring tracks consumed Ah and state of charge, and MasterBus, CZone and NMEA 2000 communication allows full system integration. For safety, Mastervolt requires a safety relay to be fitted as a mandatory part of the installation.

Does the MLI Ultra 12/3000 require a safety relay?
Yes. For additional safety, Mastervolt stipulates the use of a safety relay as a mandatory part of the battery installation. The relay controls are integrated in the battery.
How many MLI Ultra 12/3000 batteries can be connected together?
Parallel connection is unlimited and up to 10 batteries can be connected in series. Systems with a voltage above 48 V require a separate battery box to prevent access to high-voltage components.
How quickly can the battery be charged?
With a maximum charge current of 230 A and a high charge rate up to 2.5 C, the MLI Ultra 12/3000 can be fast charged within 60 minutes. A recommended charge current of 80 A or less is advised for everyday use.
What communication does it support?
It offers integrated MasterBus, CZone and NMEA 2000 communication, allowing full system integration with Mastervolt chargers and monitoring displays.
How long does the MLI Ultra 12/3000 last?
It is rated for 3500 cycles at 80 per cent depth of discharge, giving more than three times the lifespan of traditional lead-acid batteries while saving up to 70 per cent in space and weight.
