Description

The McMurdo SmartFind M10 is a compact Class B AIS transponder that brings the safety benefits of AIS to smaller non-SOLAS vessels where a full Class A system is unnecessary. Using its built-in 50 channel GPS receiver, it determines position, speed and course and automatically transmits this together with the vessel identity, with no user interaction required, while receiving and processing all AIS targets within a typical 20 mile range.

Designed for seamless integration with chart plotters, MFDs and PC or Mac navigation software, the M10 offers state-of-the-art NMEA 2000 duplex connectivity alongside two independent NMEA 0183 interfaces and USB. An SD-card slot acts as a data logger, capturing all messages to aid safety monitoring and incident investigation, and a silent mode lets the user temporarily stop transmitting identifying information when privacy or security is needed.
