Description
The Oceanic Systems 5802 NMEA2000 to VE.Can adaptor lets standard NMEA2000 sensors be connected to Victron's VE.Can network. Housed in a robust black anodised case, it converts the higher VE.Can supply voltage down to the NMEA2000 12 Volt standard and current limits it to 100 mA, or two LENs, to protect the network. A green power LED shows that VE.Can voltage is present and that the attached NMEA2000 device is not drawing too much current.
The unit has the standard twin VE.Can RJ45 sockets, so the Victron network can be daisy chained in the usual way, and a single NMEA2000 Micro-C socket for the NMEA2000 device. It is built to the IEC60945 protected standard.

What does the 5802 do?
