Description
The Oceanic Systems 3165 Rudder Angle Adaptor allows a standard European or American resistive rudder angle sender to transmit its rudder position over the NMEA2000 network. It greatly simplifies installation, with no user setup, no calibration and no display menus; in multiple-rudder installations the sender type and device instance are set with a small rotary switch on the unit. A red port LED and a green starboard LED flash to show the unit is transmitting the correct position, and the mechanical setup is made easy by centring the rudder and adjusting the linkage until both LEDs light at midships.
The adaptor is certified to the NMEA2000 network standard, fully waterproof to IP67 and ruggedly constructed for reliable service. It comes with a one metre NMEA2000 cable and a two metre rudder sensor cable so it can be sited conveniently.
