Description
The Balmar 7090 Offshore Repair Kit holds the parts most commonly needed to service a Balmar 90-Series alternator on passage, covering both 12V and 24V versions of the series. It is recommended for cruisers who want to be able to restore charging without depending on shoreside supply.
The kit includes replacement bearings, brushes and positive and negative diodes for the 90-Series. Carried with your other engine spares, it lets a competent owner or engineer rebuild the alternator and bring the charging system back online at sea.
