Description
The Oceanic Systems 5310 Optical Smoke Detector is a 12 volt DC hardwired conventional smoke detector supplied with a relay base, for use in a vessel fire detection system. Optical, or photoelectric, sensing responds well to the slow smouldering fires typical of cabin and accommodation spaces.
The detector operates from a 9 to 30 volt DC supply with very low standby current, and its onboard relay can signal an alarm panel or monitoring system when smoke is detected. A simulated smoke test facility allows the unit to be checked in place, and the compact base mounted design suits a wide range of installations on board.
