Description
The Point-1AP is the autopilot version of the popular Point-1 antenna, pairing a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with a solid-state electronic compass tuned for autopilot use. It supplies fast, accurate heading and position data to a compatible Simrad autopilot computer, helping the system hold a steady course and respond smoothly to navigation commands.
Outputting heading, rate of turn, pitch and roll over NMEA 2000 with a 10 Hz update, the Point-1AP also drives chart stabilisation and radar overlay on the connected display. The compact weatherproof housing and supplied pole or surface mount make it a clean single-cable addition to any NMEA 2000 autopilot installation.
