Description
The Actisense PRO-NBF-1 is a RINA type approved NMEA 0183 buffer that safely connects one talker to as many as six listeners. It isolates and buffers the incoming NMEA 0183 data, distributing up to six identical, amplified streams from a single source so that every listener receives data at the required voltage level and consistent quality is maintained across the network.
Isolation on both the input and the outputs protects the source talker and every connected listener. A single OPTO-isolated input and six ISO-Drive isolated outputs let the buffer be wired in with complete peace of mind, eliminating the ground loops that are the leading cause of NMEA 0183 equipment failure. The unit needs no configuration and works with RS422, RS232 and RS485 connections at up to 115200 baud with automatic autobaud detection.
The rugged 316 stainless steel housing also acts as an RF shield, making it an ideal addition to commercial installations. Two-part pluggable screw terminals and a professional DIN rail mounting system make installation quick, and diagnostic LEDs confirm power, input and output activity at a glance.
