Description
The Actisense PRO-NDC-1E is a RINA type approved NMEA 0183 multiplexer that brings intelligent, robust data handling to any 0183 network. Its five NMEA 0183 inputs can be routed to either of the two NMEA 0183 outputs, creating a highly customisable network, while industry-leading isolation on every input and output protects connected instruments from the ground loops that are the number one cause of NMEA 0183 product failure.
Five OPTO-isolated inputs and two ISO-Drive isolated outputs are complemented by a bi-directional serial port, for communication with a PC using the USBKIT-PRO USB-serial converter, and an Ethernet port for streaming NMEA 0183 data over a network. Configuration is handled by a web-based tool reached through any browser over Ethernet, so there are no operating system compatibility issues, and each output can be fine-tuned with sentence filtering and configurable baud rates that let 4800 and 38400 baud devices share the same multiplexer.
Housed in rugged 316 stainless steel with two-part pluggable connectors and diagnostic LEDs, the PRO-NDC-1E mounts to a bulkhead or, with the optional DIN-KIT-1, to a DIN rail.
