Description
The Balmar 61-0020 is a dual-groove DeepVee alternator pulley with a 17mm bore, machined from anodised steel for corrosion resistance. With a 2.7 inch outside diameter and two 1/2 inch belt grooves, it is the standard dual-vee (DV) pulley supplied on Balmar 6-Series alternators and runs a pair of 1/2 inch vee belts.
Splitting the drive across two belts increases the load the alternator can transfer without slip compared with a single vee, making a dual-vee pulley a good choice for higher-output charging where a serpentine conversion is not used. Confirm belt width and pulley diameter against your engine before fitting.
