Description
The Balmar 1310 is an eight-groove K8 serpentine alternator pulley with a 17mm bore, machined from anodised steel for corrosion resistance. It is the standard short-shaft (STD) serpentine pulley fitted to Balmar 6-Series and 94-Series alternators, and its 2.4 inch outside diameter is chosen to deliver the correct belt speed and charging output for those charging systems.
A serpentine belt gives far greater contact area between belt and pulley than a single or dual vee, allowing the alternator to transfer much higher power loads without belt slip, dust or noise. Correct pulley selection is essential to matching alternator output to your engine, so confirm groove count and belt width against your existing installation before ordering.
