Description
The Balmar 5539 is an eight-groove K8 serpentine alternator pulley with a 0.875 inch bore, made from anodised steel to withstand the marine environment. Its 2.5 inch outside diameter and small-case bore make it the correct serpentine pulley for Balmar 95-Series, 97-Series, 97EHD-Series and 98-Series alternators.
Eight serpentine grooves give the belt a large contact area, so the alternator can transfer high power loads with less slip, noise and belt dust than a vee pulley. Always confirm the pulley diameter and bore match your alternator and engine so that belt speed and charging output remain correct.
