Description
The Balmar 5537-B is an eight-groove K8 serpentine alternator pulley with a 0.875 inch bore, machined from anodised steel for durability in marine service. Its 2.7 inch outside diameter and small-case bore make it the correct serpentine pulley for Balmar 95-Series, 97-Series, 97EHD-Series and 98-Series alternators, and it is well suited to Cummins engine applications.
The K8 serpentine profile spreads the drive load across eight grooves, giving the belt more contact area than a vee pulley and allowing the alternator to handle higher output without slipping. Match the pulley diameter and bore to your alternator and engine to keep belt speed and charging output correct.
