Description
The Simrad PUMP-3 is a reversible hydraulic steering pump for boats up to 50 ft, working with the NAC-3 (or AC42) autopilot computer to drive the vessel's hydraulic steering as part of a complete autopilot system. The 12 V DC gear pump delivers a flow rate of 1.6 litres (98 cu in) per minute and is rated for hydraulic cylinder displacements between 160 and 550 cc.
It uses O-Ring Boss (ORB) connections and is supplied with three ORB-5 to 9/16 UNF fittings for straightforward plumbing into existing hydraulic steering. The PUMP-3 is SteadySteer compatible, allowing the helm to override automatic steering naturally when fitted to a suitable system.
