Description
This Raymarine R70989 is the black radome top, the upper housing that forms the weatherproof cover of the black-finish Quantum 2 Q24D Doppler radar scanner. It is supplied as a genuine service part for the black Quantum 2 radome (E70498-B), allowing a workshop to replace a cover that has been damaged or weathered while keeping the radar's black finish.
The radome top protects the patch-array antenna and rotating gear and forms part of the IPx6-rated sealed enclosure, so it must be fitted with the matching gasket to keep the unit watertight. As an official Raymarine spare in the correct black finish it ensures the radome retains its original appearance and weather protection. This part should be fitted by a competent technician following the relevant Raymarine service documentation.
