Description
The Maretron RAA100 Rudder Angle Adapter interfaces commercially available resistive rudder angle senders to an NMEA 2000 network. Once connected, rudder angle can be viewed anywhere aboard on a compatible display such as Maretron N2KView software or a DSM-series colour display, alongside all your other vessel data.
The RAA100 is compatible with both American standard (240 to 30 ohm) and European standard (10 to 180 ohm) senders, and can be calibrated for any resistive sender between 0 and 300 ohms. Three-point electronic calibration removes any need for mechanical adjustment. It can be used standalone to power and read the sender directly, or in parallel with an existing analogue gauge so you keep your original instrument.
Housed in a compact, waterproof IP67 case with a permanently attached connection cable, the RAA100 can be mounted in any orientation close to the sender or network trunk. It is a straightforward way to bring accurate, networked rudder angle to a modern helm.
