Description

The Simrad RS40-B is a fixed-mount DSC VHF radio with a built-in Class B AIS transceiver and integrated GPS. As well as receiving AIS targets, it transmits your own vessel position so nearby AIS-equipped boats can see you, improving safety in busy waters. NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity share AIS and DSC data across the network, and the radio supports up to two optional wireless handsets so you can call from anywhere on board. Separate antenna connections are provided for VHF/DSC and AIS.
