Description
The Scanstrut LMB-F1 is a self-levelling backstay radar mount that holds your radar steady and level with the horizon, even as the boat heels under sail or rolls in a seaway. A fine-tuned damping system reacts to changes in heel angle, so the radome stays horizontal and continues to give a clear, reliable picture when you need it most.
This forward-leaning version mounts ahead of the backstay and stands 2.6m (8'6") high, lifting the radar well clear of crew and deck gear while keeping the aft deck free from obstruction. Positioning the dome forward also helps keep it away from sources of interference.
Built around a machined aluminium damping chamber and a 316 stainless steel radar cradle, the LMB-F1 is entirely maintenance-free and needs no power to operate. It is designed to fit the most up-to-date radars from Garmin, Raymarine and B&G.

- Self-levelling design keeps the radar scanner horizontal as the yacht heels (plus or minus 8 degrees)
- Mounts a single radome to the backstay, clear of the deck and rigging
- Fits backstay cables from 7mm to 14mm diameter
- Supplied with a 2580mm (102") mounting pole in two sections with a joiner
- Can be deck, transom or chainplate mounted using the optional chainplate adapter
- Optional 0.65M and 1.3M pole extensions available
- GPS antenna can be added using the LM-GPS bracket
