Description
The Maretron SH-003 Smoke / Heat Detector High-Temp Kit is an NMEA 2000 networked fire-detection solution designed to alert the crew to smoke or an unusually rapid rise in temperature. Its wider temperature rating of -13 to 158 degrees F (-25 to 70 degrees C) makes it well suited to engine rooms and other high-temperature compartments where a standard detector could not be used, though it works equally well for general smoke and heat detection.
The kit brings together an optical/heat multi-sensor detector, a sounder module and an auxiliary relay, together with an 8k ohm end-of-line resistor for circuit supervision. It interfaces into a single channel of a Maretron SIM100 Switch Indicator Module, which broadcasts the detector state, a switch counter and a switch timer over the NMEA 2000 network so alarms can be shown on any compatible display. A single SIM100 supports up to six detector areas.
Detector and sounder can be ceiling or wall mounted directly or onto standard electrical boxes. The complete kit requires a 24 volt DC supply and should be installed in accordance with ABYC and NFPA fire-detection guidelines.
