Description
The Simrad S35 is a non-follow-up (NFU) steering lever, designed for bulkhead mounting both indoors and outdoors and built from shock-resistant polyoxymethylene. In non-follow-up operation the rudder moves while the lever is held at its maximum port or starboard position and stops when the lever is released; the lever is spring-loaded to return to its mid position.
An integral push button with a light indicator is used for autopilot mode selection when the S35 is connected to a Simrad J3XX junction unit, giving the operator a simple, robust steering and control point away from the main helm. Splashproof to IP56, the S35 is Wheelmark (MED) approved for use with AP50 and AP50 Plus autopilot systems.
