Description
The Simrad RS20 is a straightforward, compact fixed-mount VHF radio that delivers full Class D Digital Selective Calling at an accessible price. A separate built-in CH70 receiver keeps watch on the digital distress channel, and a one-touch distress button transmits your MMSI and position until acknowledged. When connected to a GPS source, your latitude, longitude and time are shown on the display and sent with DSC calls.
Everyday operation is simple, with a four-key hand mic and built-in speaker, switchable 25 W or 1 W transmit power, dual and tri-watch scanning, a dedicated weather key and a powerful 4 W external audio output. NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity let the RS20 share data with the rest of your electronics, and the radio is waterproof and submersible to IPx7.
