Description
The Garmin VHF 315 is a black-box marine VHF radio that mounts out of sight while the supplied GHS 11 handset and active speaker run the helm. Selectable 1 W and 25 W transmit power and standard Class D digital selective calling provide dependable communication and one-touch distress alerts once your MMSI is programmed. The radio supports up to three handset stations, so you can talk and make announcements from the cockpit, flybridge or below deck.
NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity lets DSC and position data be shared with compatible Garmin chartplotters and multifunction displays, and the radio accepts GPS through the NMEA 2000 network or an external GPS antenna. A foghorn and public-address function can be sounded through a hailer horn, and the IPX7-rated black box is designed for concealed installation in the marine environment.
