Description

The Victron Quattro 48/5000/70-100/100 is a combined inverter and battery charger for demanding 120 VAC North American marine and off-grid systems running from a 48 volt battery bank. It delivers 5000 VA of continuous pure sine wave power together with a 70 amp charger, and the 48 volt architecture keeps DC cable sizes and losses to a minimum on larger installations.

The Quattro has two AC inputs with an integrated transfer switch. It automatically connects to whichever source is active, for example the public grid and a generator, and switches over in under 20 milliseconds so sensitive electronics keep running without interruption. A second AC output powers non-critical loads only when an external source is present.

PowerControl and PowerAssist let you set a current limit on each input and boost limited shore or generator power with energy from the battery, avoiding nuisance tripping. The unit is lithium-ion battery compatible and integrates with Victron GX devices and the VRM portal for on-site and remote monitoring.

Does this Quattro output 120 V or 230 V?
This is a 120 VAC, 60 Hz model built for North American systems. The inverter output is 120 VAC ±2% at 60 Hz.
What do the two AC inputs do?
The Quattro has two AC inputs with an integrated transfer switch, so you can connect two independent sources such as shore power and a generator. It automatically connects to whichever source is live.
How fast does it switch over during a power failure?
The main output has no-break functionality. The Quattro takes over supply to the connected loads in under 20 milliseconds, so computers and other electronics keep running without disruption.
What are PowerControl and PowerAssist?
PowerControl lets you set a current limit on each AC input so the Quattro only uses spare capacity for charging, preventing an overload. PowerAssist goes further by topping up limited shore or generator power with energy from the battery during short peaks.
Is it compatible with lithium batteries?
Yes. The Quattro is lithium-ion battery compatible and also charges lead-acid, AGM and gel banks.
Can I run several units together?
Yes. Two units can be configured for split phase and three units for three phase output, and up to four sets of three units can be parallel connected for much higher power.
