Description

The Oceanic Systems 5980 Whistle Operating Module provides fully automatic control of a vessel's whistles and warning lights, activated from any Poseidon display. It generates the general manoeuvring signals for turning to starboard, turning to port, going astern and the danger signal to IMO Rule 34, and the reduced-visibility signals for a power vessel, a power vessel stopped, a vessel anchored, towed or not under command to IMO Rule 35 with variable repeat times. An immediate horn control is also available directly from any touchscreen on the vessel. The module has two horn control relays and two warning light control relays, each fully isolated with normally open contacts and its own green indicating LED, and each relay can switch 1 Amp to drive the circuit or a larger external relay. It is DIN rail mounted with WAGO cage clamp connections and works on 12 or 24 Volt systems.
