Description
The MG LFP 12V is a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery module built to replace lead-acid banks on leisure and light commercial vessels. It delivers 210 Ah and 2.7 kWh at 12.8 V nominal in a compact, impact resistant metal enclosure weighing just 22 kg, giving far more usable energy than an equivalent lead-acid bank while saving weight and space. An integrated slave BMS measures every cell voltage and temperature and balances the pack for safe, reliable operation.
For onboard installations the module connects in parallel, up to 96 modules, so house bank capacity can be scaled without changing the 12 V system architecture. A galvanically isolated CAN-Bus links each battery to an MG Master LV 12V controller for plug-and-play configuration, protection and firmware updates, and the same NMEA2000 style bus shares data with chargers, inverters and MFD displays. Rated for more than 3500 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge, it suits motorhomes, small luxury yachts and off-grid power systems.

What battery management controller do I need with the LFP 12V?
Each module has an integrated slave BMS, but MG requires an MG Master LV 12V controller to manage charging, protection and monitoring. The Master gives plug-and-play CAN-Bus configuration and safe operation, and multiple Masters can be paralleled for redundancy.
Can I increase capacity by adding more batteries?
Yes. The LFP 12V connects in parallel only, as series configuration is not possible at 12 V, and supports up to 96 modules. Each added module raises total Ah and kWh while keeping a 12 V system.
Is it a direct replacement for a lead-acid house bank on a boat?
It is designed to replace lead-acid banks. At 12.8 V nominal, 210 Ah and 2.7 kWh in a 22 kg metal housing it offers far more usable energy and over 3500 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge, though it needs the MG Master LV 12V and CAN-Bus wiring.
