Description
The Garmin GMR 424 xHD2 is a complete open-array radar system pairing a 4 kW magnetron pedestal with a 4 ft (1.2 m) open-array antenna. The narrow 1.8 degree horizontal beamwidth resolves closely spaced targets at long range, while a 72 nautical mile maximum range and selectable 24 and 48 rpm rotation suit everything from coastal cruising to offshore passages.
Dual range presents close and distant views side by side, and dual-radar support lets each display draw from one of two radar sources for redundancy. MARPA target tracking aids collision avoidance, and the IPX6 pedestal connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network. Supplied with a 15 m power cable and 15 m network cable.
