Description

This bundle lets existing Nexus owners replace an older nWind transducer with a Garmin gWind Race masthead wind transducer. Using the supplied nWind-to-gWind adapter cable, the gWind Race retrofits onto an existing Nexus network and reuses the existing Nexus mast cable. The Race version is built for sailing yachts that want the cleanest possible wind data.

It uses optical sensor technology and a twin-fin body with a three-bladed propeller for accurate true wind speed in light airs and a stable wind angle, measuring from 0.9 to 90 knots with angle accuracy better than two degrees and speed accuracy within five percent. Paired with a Garmin GND 10 bridge, the transducer can also feed Garmin GMI and GNX instruments and compatible chartplotters over NMEA 2000.
