Description
This SS60 is a flush-mounted stainless steel 1 kW thru-hull transducer that steps up to high-power performance without the need for a fairing. The housing protrudes less than a quarter of an inch outside the hull, so the boat can sit on trailer rollers or bunks without risk of damage to the transducer.
Operating at 50 kHz and 200 kHz, it reaches depths of 1,200 to 1,800 ft with a beamwidth of 22 x 20 degrees at low frequency and 6 x 6 degrees at high frequency for strong returns and clear bottom detail. It reports both depth and temperature and connects through an 8-pin plug on a 39 ft cable. The stainless steel housing makes it well suited to aluminium and other metal hulls.
This version carries a 12 degree tilted element so the beam fires vertically on hull deadrise angles from 8 to 15 degrees. When connecting to a 6-pin Garmin sounder, a transducer adapter cable (010-11612-00) is required.
