Description
The EmpirBus MCU v2 is the central processor that drives an EmpirBus digital switching system, providing the computing power, intelligence and decision-making that coordinate the distribution control modules (DCMs) across the installation, including the NXT DCM and Connect 50 DCM units. It allows the whole system to be controlled and monitored from a Garmin chartplotter or a compatible third-party display.
This second-generation master control unit extends connectivity with two auxiliary CAN ports and two RS485 ports, all galvanically isolated and individually configurable, so the system can integrate in parallel with third-party equipment. The MCU v2 communicates with the rest of the installation over the NMEA 2000 network and forms the heart of larger, more complex digital control systems.
