Description
The Garmin GA 38 is an external GPS and GLONASS antenna that delivers a fast, reliable position fix to a compatible Garmin chartplotter, AIS unit or the Cortex V1 and M1 systems. Drawing on both the GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations, it improves position accuracy and acquisition compared with relying on an internal antenna, particularly where sky view is partly obstructed.
This white version connects to the host device using a BNC connector at the port labelled ANTENNA or EXT GPS. It can be surface mounted, fitted to a standard 1 inch pole mount, or installed under a fibreglass deck using the supplied under-deck kit, giving flexibility for almost any boat. The fully gasketed, high-impact housing is IPX7 water rated for the marine environment.
