Description

The AD-100 is a charger adapter cup that fits inside Icom's BC-119N single desktop rapid charger and BC-121N six-way rapid multi-charger. It shapes the charging bay to accept the BP-227 series Li-ion battery pack, so the charger can be used with the IC-M87 marine/PBR handheld and the IC-F51/IC-F61 PMR handhelds.

The BC-119N and BC-121N are supplied without a cup fitted, so an adapter such as the AD-100 is required before either charger can be used with these radios. It supports the standard BP-227 as well as the ATEX-approved BP-227AX and BP-227AXD packs, and will charge either a bare battery or a battery fitted to the radio.

The fit is mechanical only - the charging electronics stay in the host charger, and the correct AC adapter (BC-145S for the BC-119N, BC-157/BC-157S for the BC-121N) is still required.
