What makes the Multi RS Solar different from a standard inverter/charger?
It has a built-in dual-tracker MPPT solar charger, so it combines an inverter, a battery charger and a solar charge controller in one unit. Solar energy can be stored in the battery and used at night or during peak demand.
How much solar can I connect?
The integrated MPPT accepts up to 6 kWp of PV across two trackers (3 kWp per tracker), with a maximum PV array voltage of 450 V. PV capacity can be extended further with additional AC-coupled or DC-coupled solar chargers.
Can it run without a battery?
Yes. In PV-inverter mode it works as a grid-tied PV inverter without a battery, so you can start simple and add storage later.
What operating modes does it support?
Hybrid, backup, off-grid, generator and PV-inverter modes. In hybrid mode it stores surplus solar for later use and supplies extra power from the battery when demand exceeds grid or generator capacity.
Does it have Bluetooth?
Yes. A built-in Bluetooth Smart connection lets you monitor and configure the unit with the VictronConnect app, and it also has an on-board display for battery, inverter and solar parameters.
Can I connect it to a GX device?
Yes. It connects to a GX device such as the Cerbo GX via VE.Can for system monitoring and control, and the VE.Direct port connects to a GlobalLink 520 for remote data monitoring.
