Description

The Ray63 combines a built-in 72-channel GPS receiver with the full-function features of Raymarine's VHF line, including a front Fistmic and a rear second-station connection. It transmits at a selectable 1W or 25W across all US, International and Canadian VHF marine bands, and the internal GNSS engine (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou with WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS SBAS) provides accurate position for DSC distress alerting without an external GPS source.

The Ray63 supports Raymarine's optional wireless handset, connected through the wireless hub (adaptor R70739), so you can take full radio control anywhere on board. Built to IPX6 and IPX7, it is at home at an exposed helm. An external passive GPS antenna can be added via the TNC port. Connect SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 to a compatible Raymarine multifunction display to share DSC and position across the network, with NMEA 0183 and an audio (RCA) output for installation flexibility.

Does the Ray63 have a built-in GPS?
Yes. The Ray63 has a built-in 72-channel GPS receiver (GPS, GLONASS and Beidou with SBAS), providing its own position for DSC. An external passive antenna can be added via the TNC port.
Does the Ray63 receive AIS?
No. The Ray63 has GPS but does not include an AIS receiver. The Ray73 is the equivalent model with an AIS receiver.
Can the Ray63 use a wireless handset?
Yes. The Ray63 supports Raymarine's wireless handset through the wireless hub. On the Ray63 the wireless hub adaptor (R70739) is required to connect the hub to the radio.
Can I add a wired second station to the Ray63?
Yes. The Ray63 has a front Fistmic and a rear connection for a second station, so you can add a RayMic wired handset (A80289).
How does the Ray63 connect to a chartplotter?
Via SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000, sharing DSC and position with a compatible Raymarine multifunction display.
