Description

The Raymarine P79S is an Airmar in-hull smart depth transducer that reads depth through a solid-fibreglass hull, with no hole to drill below the waterline. It operates at 235 kHz, which helps prevent mutual interference with other echosounders on board, and adjusts to hull deadrise angles up to 22 degrees to keep the beam vertical for accurate readings.

As a smart transducer the P79S outputs depth directly to the network. This SeaTalkng version is supplied with the in-hull fitting kit and an adaptor cable so it can connect to a SeaTalkng network. It suits smaller boats up to 8 m (25') with a solid-fibreglass hull.

Does the P79S require a hole in the hull?
No. The P79S is an in-hull transducer that reads depth through a solid-fibreglass hull, so there is no through-hull fitting below the waterline.
Will the P79S work on my boat?
It is designed for smaller boats up to 8 m (25') with a solid-fibreglass hull and a deadrise angle up to 22 degrees. It is not suitable for cored, wood or metal hulls.
