The Raymarine i60 Wind instrument displays apparent and true wind on an analogue needle gauge with a high contrast LCD for wind speed, VMG and tack angle. The needle sweeps a full 000 to 180 degree scale with colourised close hauled segments. It connects directly to a masthead vane or Rotavecta transducer.

Description

The Raymarine i60 Wind instrument presents wind angle on a traditional analogue needle sweeping a full 000 to 180 degree scale, with colourised port and starboard segments calling out the close hauled range. The high contrast LCD beneath the needle reports wind speed, Beaufort scale, maximum wind, VMG and tack angle, all under red backlighting for clear night viewing.

A built in wind transducer interface accepts traditional masthead vanes, including the short arm and long arm units, or the Rotavecta rotating cup sensor for powerboats. The i60 calculates both apparent and true wind, and shares everything across the SeaTalkng network where it integrates with autopilots and i70s displays.

NMEA 2000 and older SeaTalk systems connect via adaptor cables, and the 110 x 115 x 44 mm case matches every other i50 and i60 instrument at the helm. Surface mount it with the supplied gasket and choice of bezel styles.

What is the difference between the i60 Wind and the i60 Close Hauled Wind?
The i60 Wind shows the full 000 to 180 degree wind angle range and has a built in transducer interface for a masthead vane or Rotavecta sensor. The i60 Close Hauled Wind magnifies the 20 to 60 degree range and is a repeater, taking its wind data from a networked i60 Wind or an iTC-5 with masthead transducer.
Which wind transducers work with the i60 Wind?
The short arm masthead wind vane (E22078), the long arm masthead wind vane (E22079) and the Rotavecta rotating cup transducer (Z195).
Does the i60 show true wind as well as apparent wind?
Yes. The i60 Wind calculates both apparent (relative) and true wind speed and angle.
Can the i60 join an NMEA 2000 network?
Yes. The i60 is SeaTalkng native, and SeaTalkng is a proprietary extension of NMEA 2000. NMEA 2000 devices connect with a SeaTalkng to DeviceNet adaptor cable, and older SeaTalk 1 systems use the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng converter kit (E22158).
