Description
The Simrad R3016 Halo 3 kit is a complete radar package built around a large R3016 16-inch radar control display and the solid-state Halo 3 open array radar. The 25 W Halo pedestal and 3 ft antenna produce a 2.4 degree horizontal beam and an instrumented range of up to 48 nautical miles, combining a clear close-in picture with confident long-range detection.
With no magnetron the radar is ready to transmit in 16 to 25 seconds from power-on and remains safe to operate in harbours and marinas. The supplied RI-12 interface module feeds NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 navigation data into the system, while the generous 16-inch R3016 display gives full radar control and overlay. This package suits larger helms that want a dedicated, big-screen radar station.
