Description
The Simrad RF45X is a medium-duty rudder feedback unit that continuously reports rudder angle to a compatible Simrad autopilot computer, allowing the autopilot to steer accurately. It can alternatively provide a variable current output for a standalone rudder angle indicator system.
Mechanically identical to the RF45 it succeeds, the RF45X is a repairable unit rather than a potted, throw-away item. It is mounted close to the rudder stock and connected to the rudder by a transmission link in a 1:1 ratio. It is supplied complete with a transmission link, 2 m cable and a junction box for connection to the autopilot system.
