Description

This gWind system supplies a Garmin masthead wind transducer together with a GND 10 black box bridge and a 25 m mast cable, giving sailors a complete wind-sensing package that links Nexus and Garmin equipment. The gWind uses optical sensor technology and a twin-fin body with a three-bladed propeller, providing accurate true wind speed in light airs and a stable wind angle.

It measures wind from 0.9 to 90 knots with angle accuracy better than two degrees and speed accuracy within five percent. The included GND 10 bridge lets the gWind share data with Garmin GMI and GNX marine instruments and compatible chartplotters over NMEA 2000, and allows Nexus sail instruments and Garmin gear to work together on the same network.
