Description

The Garmin TM265LH is the transom-mount member of the 265-element CHIRP family and the only 1 kW transom-mount CHIRP transducer in the range. It sweeps a 42 to 65 kHz low band and a 130 to 210 kHz high band, returning precise target separation and clean bottom definition across the whole range, rather than relying on two fixed frequencies. With 1 kW of transmit power the low band sounds to 3,000 ft and the high band to 1,000 ft, while the narrow beam at both frequencies keeps image detail sharp. The transducer mounts easily on the transom using its stainless-steel bracket, suiting transom angles of 3 to 21 degrees on boats up to 10 m, and is compatible with all hull materials. An integral depth and fast-response temperature sensor is built in. The TM265LH runs on Garmin chartplotters with a built-in 1 kW CHIRP sounder, or through the Garmin GSD 26 or GSD 25 sonar module.

What frequencies and power does the TM265LH use?
It is a dual-band CHIRP transducer covering 42 to 65 kHz (low) and 130 to 210 kHz (high), with 1 kW of transmit power. It is the only 1 kW transom-mount CHIRP transducer in the range.
Does the TM265LH need a separate sonar module?
Not necessarily. It runs directly on Garmin chartplotters that have a built-in 1 kW CHIRP sounder, such as the GPSMAP xsv series. Where there is no built-in 1 kW sounder it can be driven by the Garmin GSD 26 or GSD 25 sonar module.
How deep can the TM265LH sound?
The low band reaches approximately 3,000 ft and the high band approximately 1,000 ft, depending on water conditions.
How is the TM265LH mounted?
It mounts on the transom using its stainless-steel bracket, suiting transom angles of 3 to 21 degrees on boats up to 10 m (32 ft). It is compatible with all hull materials.
Does the TM265LH read water temperature?
Yes. It includes an integral depth reading and a fast-response water-temperature sensor.
